This time of year, we get many calls from folks who have received official-looking documents that says that their vehicle’s warranty is about to expire. The letter goes on to strongly suggest that you should call a particular phone number to keep from having warranty issues or paying a fortune in repair bills.

The question is, is the letter legitimate? Often, the answer is no.

Unless you hear something directly from Motorcars Toyota or Toyota Motor Corporation about your vehicle’s warranty, you can safely assume that any letters, emails, or phone calls that you receive about expiring warranties are a scam. For some reason, there are always more of them in winter than at any other time.

Don’t let yourself become a victim. Throw away the letter, delete the email, and hang up on the call. You will save yourself time, money, and grief.
