When and Where
The St. Patrick’s Day Run will be held on Saturday, March 7. The 5k will begin at 5 p.m., and will run along West 6th Street. The race’s reference point is 1240 West 6th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44113.
The St. Patrick’s Day Run
Before the race, you can enjoy a complementary beverage, then don the event’s custom hooded long-sleeve shirt to lineup up at the start. The course winds its way through downtown Cleveland, and you’ll see some of the city’s most familiar sites while on-foot. The course starts near the Historic Warehouse District, then leads across the Detroit-Superior Bridge into Ohio City. The majority of the path will be level ground, and the most pronounced incline will be across the bridge itself.
After the Run
Once you’ve crossed the finish line, stick around for some St. Patrick’s Day festivities. When the race is over, there will be food and beverages for the runners, as well as live music to keep the spirits high. Certain businesses along West 6th Street will also run specials for the occasion. As you wait for your race time results, you can pick up coupons or take advantage of the giveaways by participating businesses. You’re also welcome to suit up and participate in the costume contest.
The Shamrock Medal
When you complete the course, you’ll receive the St. Patrick’s Day Run finisher’s medal, an orange, wearable prize in the shape of a shamrock’s leaf. If you also completed the race in 2019 and 2018, then you already have the white and green leaves necessary to form a full shamrock. This year’s medal will come with a stem to bind all the clover pieces together.
The registration fee prior to March 1 is $30 per person. Starting March 2 through race day, registration will be $40. You can register online HERE.
